Girls Fast in Tokyo: Day 2

DAY 2

(10 a.m.)
Hi Girls, I blew it! GOMENAZAI!

Highly determined, I was good all day - juice and tea and then M came home. of course hungry he started cooking and then it all went wrong...the smell, the atmosphere - I was starving.
So basically I fasted for 12 hours - M, does that count??
I am restarting when M is on business trip
J - how are you coming along?
B: you are soooo good.

*****************************************************
(10 a.m.)
Hello,

I managed to complete day one yesterday but I spent the whole day stropping around in a bad mood and smoking non-stop.

I'm not going to bother with day 2 or day 3 as I feel clean enough and detoxed out already. instead am going to eat healthily and go to the gym.

Good luck to the rest of you still on it. Glad it's over for me.

*******************************************************

You can't SMOKE when you are on a fast... that is a major no no.
But congrats to all you who tried (and failed).....

No word from J or B?

*******************************************************

Well I managed day 1 although I was starving by the end and it didn't
help that R got home and cooked and the smell wafted through to the
other room. Although he was lovely and did buy me my favourite "La
France" pear juice as encouragement!

Feeling a bit weaker than usual and didn't get a great night's sleep
(weather I think) but still fasting....

***********************************************************

Well, I have no company dinners this week plus I want to look fit and trim in my backless dress when I go to A's wedding this week so I have the motivation!

**********************************************************

Go B, Go! We are counting on you, at least one of us. I will restart when M is on a business trip. I am so undetermined....

**********************************************************
I will try from today, although I am feeling totally exhausted already, so not a good omen. I don't think I will last for more than 24 hours, maximum!

Am I allowed chewing gum?
**********************************************************
Well, certainly feeling empty, that's for sure... and weak... but my
stomach is looking quite flat which I'm pleased about.
Definitely looking forward to Day 3!

By the way, you have so much time on your hands when you are not eating!
J, I'm sure you felt the same when you were in Thailand....
**********************************************************
be careful - chewing gum makes hungry. :-)
the way to go is: buy a backless dress!!! that is exactly why I failed. going shopping now! a.
**********************************************************
Hahahahaha, now that's my kind of therapy ;oD
**********************************************************
I am starving.........!!!! (4:30 p.m., Day 1)
**********************************************************
Me too - trying not to think of food!
It's not as bad when you're at work but when you're home or walking
through the station and there are all those smells to tempt you... you
have to keep busy so you don't succumb! (4:30 p.m. Day 2)

M, are you starting tomorrow?
**********************************************************
Go Jo Go Jo !!! At least one day!
**********************************************************
Hey girls, I don't want to be the only one suffering for three!
(I'm really looking forward to midnight tomorrow...)
**********************************************************
I am definitely on track to start tomorrow.... so I will be starting
on B's last day. I'm curious to hear if day 3 really is when
you get energetic again and forget about hunger.... keep us posted
B! And curious to hear if J will continue on to day 2... I
guess she needs to go out and by a backless dress if that is to
happen.

Cheers to not eating!
**********************************************************
Not likely - I haven't finished day 1 yet!!

Girls fast in Tokyo: Day 1

DAY 1

What a stupid idea. I'm starving and in a bad mood already, but determined to complete it for atleast all of today.
Will most likely try and eat healthily from tomorrow (10 a.m.)

|----------------------+----------------------|
|5 kinds of sashimi |2 kinds of sashimi |
|Charcoal Grilled Pork |Charcoal Grilled |
|Vegetable fritters |Chicken |
|Vinegared dish |Vegetable fritters |
|Rice |Vinegared dish |
|Miso Soup |Rice |
|Dessert |Miso Soup |
|Coffee or Tea |Dessert |
| |Coffee or Tea |
|----------------------+----------------------|

It will be me tomorrow though.....

*********************************************

The plan was to stick at it for 3 days - if I can do it, you can do it too!

It hasn't been too bad so far, although I noticed that
1) When you are not supposed to eat all you seem to think about is food
2) Whenever there's food anywhere in the same building you are much more aware of the smell of it

The worse is yet to come - the 4/ 5pm snack time is going to be a toughie....

But am determined to stick at it!

*******************************************

Ha ha ha! I woke up this morning thinking I would start to "ease into
it" So I had juice for breakfast and a salad for lunch. And now I'm
starving! And I'm not even into the fast. But I am still determined to
start on Wednesday, thinking of what all of you have gone through and
keeping that in mind as reference.

Can you believe J sent that nasty note with her lunch special?
Sometimes that girl can be downright cruel;-)

*******************************************

they forgot to give me my rice and miso at lunch, so you all have the last laugh!

Oh god, do I really have to do this tomorrow?

*********************************************

How are the fasters? Are you going to start tomorrow J? Really?
Looking forward to hearing how day 1 was for the lead group....

Ralph Takes Tokyo

And picks the meat off the bones of all in his path!
After a grueling week working on the periphery of the RL visit to Tokyo, I feel I have been worried by a pack of hyenas and barely staved off certain death. New Yorkers! Fashionistas! What a combination...It's like mixing chlorine and detergent. Deadly.
